Some years ago, Veruca was a stray that was turned in to Berclair Animal Hospital. The staff at Berclair called Hearts of Gold Pit Rescue, and we took her in. She was adopted by a family in Oxford. Veruca has since moved to Nashville and remains dedicated to her role as a breed ambassador.

Mason was 2 to 3  years old when he came to Hearts of Gold Pit Rescue, and had an embedded chain surgically removed. He had has gone through unimaginable amounts of cruelty. He did not have good dog skills because he was a chain dog. He required immediate emergency vet care.

When she was rescued, Jaimie was in late stage congestive heart failure due to having a heavy load of heartworms that had stretched her heart muscle. She is now heartworm free!!
